The Leamington Consort
The Leamington Consort was formed in 2012 to specialise in music composed during the High Renaissance, Tudor, Jacobean and Baroque eras. Based in Royal Leamington Spa, the chamber choir of 16 voices consists of singers who either live in the town or have a strong connection to music-making in the Midlands. The group performs music with pure intonation and an historic approach to choral sound and style.
Julian Parkin is The Leamington’s Consort’s founder and Director. Fostering his life’s love of choral music as a chorister, choral scholar and lay clerk he also directs the choir of All Saints' Royal Leamington Spa and the Warwick and Kenilworth Choral Society.
